Unbelievable! It has already been more than one month since I wrote something for Mylène's blog. Shame on me. Well ... with our upcoming moving to China, I guess I have a valid excuse. Still, it is a shame that there has been so much to write about, but just too little time to do so.

One of the highlights of the past month, definitely was Mylène's first birthday! Many of you will also have good memories about the party, I think.
We combined the celebration of Mylène's birthday with our goodbye party. Many relatives and friends had informed us that they wanted to be there. So, about five days before the party, Shiqi and I decided, that this amount of people would never fit into our small appartment. Luckily, we were able to find an alternative party location. It was a place on the camping of Warburg, really perfect for us! Interestingly, the camping was run at the time by a Dutch couple, because the owner was away on a holiday. The weather was also perfect, so we could even enjoy some sunshine and the kids had plenty of space to run around. It couldn't have been much better!!

Mylène got lots of attention and loads of presents!! A big enough supply for the coming three years, I would almost say. I was especially happy with the fact that she got many books .... in Dutch :-) It will be difficult for Shiqi to compensate that with Chinese books, haha.

Of course, it was a bit sad to realise that many of all those who were present, we will not see for at least two years. Yet, I am also sure that will not loose them out of sight! I will do my best to keep in regular contact.
