I think I promised you a video of our little girl taking a bath.
Well, I have uploaded one to Youtube, so you can take a look at it if you want!
Have fun.

Embedded videos with Youtube

As the storage capacity of this website is only limited, I am trying to find a way how to integrate videos in this blog without using up valuable storage capacity.

Here is the first test with a short video that I uploaded to Youtube. It's a really old one, so don't think Mylène shrank ;-)
Let me know if it works.

Big news: Mylène's first word!

This time it is no April's joke, but really true: Mylène has said her first word. It is already a few days ago, but because of the world cup football, I haven't spent time behind my laptop for days already. So with a few days delay, I am proud to be able to report, that the first word our little girl can say, is ...

the DUTCH word: "Dag", meaning "bye".
Well, when Mylène says it, it sounds more like "Dahaa". That she means "dag" is without a doubt, though. Because she says it while waving with her hand!!!

As you can imagine, it is very very cute, when she does it again :-)

We did try to tape it, but until now, without much success .... she usually doesn't say it with a camera or a microphone present. Once we got the shot, I will put it online, though, so you can all enjoy!

So, the opening goal in the language competition is clearly for the Dutch!!! Let's hope this also counts for the Dutch football team during the world cup.

Mylène in the bath

Mylène has found out how to "splash" with water! I was already wondering why she did not do this yet. But yesterday night, when we were giving her a bath again, she started to beat on the water with her hands. Seeing the effect of it, she became enthousiastic and put some extra force into it. A bit later, her legs and feet joined in, with the result that after taking a bath, most of the water was not in the tub anymore, but on the bathroom floor.

I am afraid, this will be the new standard :-)
